This plan has an exclusion.

Exclusion:

Psychological assessment and psychotherapy treatment in conjunction with proposed gender transformation (p. 42); Treatment or studies leading to or in connection with sex changes or modifications and related care (p. 52)

Litigation:

In Kadel v. Folwell, TLDEF and Lambda Legal are suing the North Carolina State Health Plan over its exclusion of transgender-related health care. We have received a favorable ruling allowing the plaintiffs to have their day in court.
